Bogor Geographical Condition

Bogor is a city located in West Java, Indonesia and laid between 106°43’30”BT - 106°51’00”BT and 30’30”LS – 6°41’00”LS The total area of Bogor is 118, 5 km² and hundreds people who lived in 20 km2the central of Bogor for about 20 km². Bogor spreads over a basin near Salak volcanoes, which the peaks at about 12 km south.

Bogor bears the nickname "the Rain City", because of frequent rain showers. It nearly always rains even during the dry season.

The condition of soil structure in Bogor is influenced the shape of the tea field in Puncak, Bogor. They shaped are tea filed terrace. The tea field has terracing because it has slopes of 0–2°, 80.9 km² from 2° to 15°, 11 km² between 15° and 25°, 7.65 km² from 25° to 40° and 1.20 km² over 40° the northern part is relatively flat and the southern part is more hilly. This caused many people who lived in mountain region choose to work or has bussiness in agriculture sector.
